Lazy Sunday. | Denver Newborn Lifestyle Photographer

While I’m getting myself back into the swing of life, I still like to take my time to be……well……lazy. I am lucky that I have the best husband ever. He is very in tune with what sleep I am (and am not) getting with our kids. For the most part Max has been a super sleepy baby and sleeps well at night. Saturday night was not a good night though. My mom took Carson to a birthday party Saturday afternoon so we figured we’d go out for a dinner date with Max. Poor kid didn’t sleep well all Saturday and cried the whole time we were out. He also fussed every time I tried to feed him. This in turn meant that he was up eating for most of the night.

On Sunday morning when Carson woke up Carl scooped him right up and they left the house. I was able to get some more rest since Max was now very sleepy. When I got up and ready for the day Max turned into the happy smiley boy we’ve come to know. I just love getting to capture his grins from just seeing my face. That sounds so conceited, right??? But it’s true! Okay, he smiles for Daddy, Carson and Grandma like that too, but I know these ones are just for me. In between sleepy sessions we sit and stare at each other while making every face we can and having a great conversation. I’ll let you know if I figure out exactly what we’re talking about.
